Given a little thought, the whole concept of blasphemy is silly. How could the opinion of a petty, finite little critter like a human possibly have any value to an infinite God? A truly infinite God would be infinitely beyond our praise or condemnation. All indications are that we are just not that big a deal on the cosmic stage and need to get over ourselves. To my mind, we just need to take care of each other and stop pretending that we are at the center of some giant cosmic battle. The whole idea that we can please or displease God or even more ridiculously help God is the height of arrogance and would be downright humorous if it hadn't led to so much human suffering over the ages.
